“Etime” means the upper edge of a cliff. It has a Guanche origin (said of people who inhabited the Canary Islands at the time of their conquest). It is equivalent to the terms Letime and Time. The first of them is still present in the popular speech of El Hierro (the smallest of the Canary Islands).
